Type 93 - should be redirect[edit]

Besides the US Army wartime publication shown linked (which I have a copy of in book form), there is no evidence this "light tank" existed. Neither, Zaloga, Steven J. in his book: "Japanese Tanks 1939–45", nor, Tomczyk, Andrzej M. in his book: "Japanese Armor Vol. 1", nor the RS website, Taki's Imperial Japanese Army Page have any mention of it; and when looking at the photo (figure 243) claimed to be of the Type 93, it is really the earlier version of the Type 92 cavalry tank which is shown. Also in the US Army publication, it states the Type 93 has a "suspension... 4 bogie wheels coupled together in pairs via transverse even lever". p. 244. It has "two return rollers". p. 245. What is being described in the text is the later version of the Type 92. Tomczyk (2002), pp. 61, 63, 65.

This article should be a redirect to the Type 92 where it can be explained, with a mention as to its unlikely possibility but mainly unknown status as to existence; and probably is a mistaken identification of war-time analysis. I added mention of the above information to the article. Further, I have corresponded with Japanese armor expert Akira Takizawa as to this matter and he confirmed for me the tank did not exist; what the US Army thought was a new model was a later version of the Type 92. With that said, I know this correspondence information cannot be added to this stub article as it would be considered OR. Kierzek (talk) 17:46, 14 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
