It needs to be understood that the presence of a CE mark on a product may mean a Type Approval has been granted by a Notified Body (i.e., a government approved testing and approval agency) OR it may mean that the manufacturer has "self declared" conformity to some European Directive. Should we link to Declaration of Conformity for those confusing the two terms? Various agencies (FCC for example) usually have a Declaration of Conformity and Mark of Conformity. CE Marking and FCC Declaration of Conformity --199.255.204.2 (talk) 16:28, 1 August 2013 (UTC)
