the concept of national and provincial/regional/municipal university[edit]

There is no official definition or designation of 'national' and 'provincial' universities in China. As the page indicated, it is more appropriate to define them as 'public university affiliated with x central ministries' and 'public university affiliated with x provincial government' instead of 'national' and 'provincial' universities', which is an invented and misleading concept.

In addition, the user added the prefix ('national' and 'provincial') to many of Chinese university wiki pages with no uniform standard. For example, Tsinghua University according to this invented concept is a 'national' university, but 'national' is not added to the page. Citriloop (talk) 02:00, 11 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
