U.S. Army trial patterns of what?[edit]

"U.S. Army trial patterns" is not descriptive enough. What was the official title of the trials program? When did it take place and what was its objective? There have been lots of army trials over the entire history of the U.S. Army - which one is this article referring to? If it was a trial for a new uniform, or simply a new camouflage pattern, then this needs to be clarified at the outset. Dom Damian (talk) 01:06, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

MultiCam[edit]

This article seems to have a major inaccuracy. MultiCam was not one of the trial patterns. Crye had developed the original "Scorpion" pattern with Natick and submitted that for the trial, and when it wasn't selected (as is already covered), they modified it slightly to create the MultiCam that they released to the civilian market. The original Scorpion and MultiCam are very similar, and pretty much compatible, but they are not exactly the same, and this article shouldn't claim it was MultiCam. Especially since Scorpion W2, another slightly altered version of the original pattern, has been adopted as an Army-wide replacement for UCP; W2 was developed by Natick using their rights to the original pattern, just as Crye's MultiCam made changes to the pattern to secure exclusive rights to that exact pattern. See the Scorpion W2 article for sources. either way, this article needs adjusting. I'll try later. oknazevad (talk) 15:40, 2 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
