Proposed merge with U.S. Route 167 in Louisiana[edit]

Per WP:USRD/NT, "A highway should have sizable and notable spans in at least 3 jurisdictions before creating sub articles. There are a few instances where highways that only cross two jurisdictions may merit sub articles; however, these should be discussed on a case-by-case basis." This is that discussion. –Fredddie 03:16, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Merge - The entire length of US 167 can easily be covered in one article. Dough4872 03:19, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge. US 167 and I-8 (from WP:USRD/NT) are similar cases. A complete article could be long enough to split into subarticles, but in the main article's present state, that's not ideal. For what it's worth, I-8 was not split after it was improved to FA. –Fredddie 03:24, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment, since I'm responsible for the LA subarticle. I thought the standard only said "multiple jurisdictions." At any rate, I was planning to add a lengthy history section and other material to the Louisiana article this week. I was also going to merge Pineville Expressway with US 167 in LA since the former is entirely part of the latter and is a paltry and insufficiently referenced article on its own. I think that incorporating all this material into the main US 167 article would make it very unbalanced (90% of the material referring to less than 50% of the route) since the article has no history for Arkansas or a detailed route description, and I have no interest in researching or writing material for Arkansas highways at this time. • Merge, just merge the content here then.
