History[edit]

The history section reads like it was copied from the airline website. NW036 21:30, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed most of the obviously copied information and left only the relevant information about the airline's history, however because the history stops at 2003 I have replaced the POV template with one asking the section to be expanded. NcSchu 13:56, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Stupid company name[edit]

Can anyone discuss the history of how this airline was named? It seems like a stupid name and it would be noteworthy to include the origins of the name in this encyclopaedia article. IMO, even USA 2100 would have been better. Thanks. --Inetpup 05:15, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

From [1]

Founded in 1969, Apple Vacations, of Newtown Square, Pa., is one of the nation's biggest tour operators. Last year, 1 million passengers flew on 6,000 Apple charter flights.

According to the travel company's Web site, Apple Vacations is significantly expanding its scheduled air service to resorts served. This winter, the company operated 175 charter departures per week. John J. Mullen, Apple Vacations' president and chief executive officer, said the new airline reflects the company's "commitment to our clients and to the travel industry ... to offer a fleet of the newest, safest and most dependable aircraft."

Mullen also owns a portion of Canada 3000 airlines, one of that country's leading air carriers. Canada 3000 carries more than 3 million passengers a year to more than 94 destinations.

I'd assumed it was a reference to the movie America 3000. PolarisSLBM (talk) 05:10, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Article title: USA 3000 Airlines or USA3000 Airlines[edit]

This article is currently titled USA 3000 Airlines. However, the body text uses both this as well as USA3000 Airlines. On the airline's about us page, they use USA3000 Airlines. Is there any reason not to move the article and standardize the text to use the form the company uses? -- Hawaiian717 00:34, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If the airline's website uses USA3000 Airlines, then why not move it to that page? Sox23 02:11, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Done. -- Hawaiian717 20:51, 14 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Focus Cities[edit]

I disagree with labeling any city a "Focus City" of USA3000. They have never identified these cities as such and there is no real criteria for making certain airports have these titles. Hearing no objections within several days, I will remove all Focus City labels. NW036 (talk) 22:22, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
