Any current [or Ex] Shortbus sailors out there? I'm working on filling in the 11 years of history that's missing ... or at least the 4.5 or so I was there [99-04].

Makes me sick[edit]

I did two westpacs on this boat.

We did some amazing things, but this will forever make 762 look WORSE than even 772. I am friends with alot of guys on 772, and they just had a bunch of bad luck. I am sad to think that 762 is forever the worst boat, due to totally preventable problems. This boat always had a "mob-rule" mentality. I remember a tall, blonde LT that loved to sleep (1996-1999) on watch and had a violent temper. Good leadership! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 762LT (talkcontribs) 04:30, 25 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Displacement is incorrect. As a former Ships diving officer, I know. It is heavier due to VLS system up forward. Also D2W core is heavier.

If you look real close at the greeneville in drydock following the Boat disaster, you can see 762 right next to her in the deeper drydock.
