Vaporware or not?[edit]

An anon added the idea and a link to the article, vaporware, on August 8. Several editors have removed it indicating various negative things about the statement, but never refuting the claim that it's vaporware. I don't mean to edit war over it, but to argue that it's anything but vaporware after more than two years of development is farcical. It didn't take http://www.mythbuntu.org/ that long to come out with a public version. Similarly, specific variants of Ubuntu for specific versions didn't take that long to gel. So http://www.ubuntu.com/tv is clearly vaporware until it shows 1) signs that it is still in active development or 2) it's released to the public or embedded in a product. The last commit to its dev repository was in 2011: https://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntutv-dev-team/ubuntutv/trunk/files I replaced the content here with a redirect to the main Ubuntu article. Should this project ever get out of vaporware status, my edit can be reverted and the article updates. Until then it makes no sense to have a dedicated article. That also follows WP:PRODUCT (“If a non-notable product or service has its own article, be bold and merge the article into an article with a broader scope”). --KAMiKAZOW (talk) 05:09, 2 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
