On the Village Pump a Brazilian user named Jorge (I think) inquired as to whether he could translate articles from the English-language Wikipedia into Portuguese for the Portugese-lanagueg Wikipedia. He was given the green light for this. Similarly, not finding an English-language article on Uerdingen, but noting the German-language one, I've translated the article from de.wikipedia.org for use in the English language one. Unfortunately, as the german-language article gets edited, this one won't get automatically updated. My weakness, as I'm raltively new, is in categorization and adherence to all stylistic rules for Wikipedia articles. My apologies for any such "bads" are offered in advance... Low Franconian languages[edit]

As far as I understand the local dialect belongs to Low Franconian languages, which isn't exactly Plattdeutsch. Low German says To the West, it fades to the Low Franconian languages which distinguish two plural verbal endings, opposed to a common verbal plural ending in Low German. . German article Platt explains what Platt is, quite complicated for me, so I don't rewrite the article.Xx236 15:32, 25 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
