Accommodation section lacking impartial tone[edit]

The only accommodation inside the National Park, Ulu Ulu Resort was opened in November 2008 with the privatization of the facilities in Ulu Temburong National Park under the authority of the Forestry Department. This is regarded as a historical milestone in Brunei tourism as this is the first Public-Private Partnership (PPP) between a tour company (Sunshine Borneo Tours and Travel Sdn Bhd) and the Government of Brunei Darussalam.

The 17-room award-winning resort is a low-density and environmentally conscious accommodation that commits to Green Practices. There are three room categories; Standard (dormitory), Superior (twin share and family suites) and Deluxe (double bed). The resort has a 25-capacity conference room, a club lounge, a 60-capacity auditorium, restaurant, gift and souvenir shop and games room with pool table. To stay at the resort, visitors are required to make advance booking of Ulu Temburong National Park tour package, which includes one to three nights stay options, full board meals, transfers to and from Bandar Seri Begawan and guided activities. The accommodation is an ideal base for visitors to experience the magnificent flora and fauna of Ulu Temburong National Park as well as bird watching, of which, some birders dubbed the place as a ‘Hornbill Paradise’.
