Separate article for discontinued/historical uniforms?[edit]

Should we have a separate article to cover the USN's discontinued uniforms, from the past? – Illegitimate Barrister (talkcontribs), 05:36, 5 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

the more I think about it, the less I like the idea. Removing historical context from this article seems like a mistake. It would only turn this article even more into a catalogue of uniforms instead of an encyclopedic overview of the uniforms and their history. oknazevad (talk) 14:05, 5 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • oppose - I don't see any benefit in splitting off any part of this article at this time. - wolf 20:59, 5 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support - Strong Conditional - Look at what occurred across the 1970's to 1980's, and Admiral Zumwalt was a major factor. Perhaps and article focused on that period of change then revert, with a strong insight of how it occurred. Wfoj3 (talk) 23:35, 8 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support - Where are the uniforms from 19th century? They are so different that they should have their own article. The Obsolete uniforms section only covers uniforms from the 20th century. - --AnalyticalHistoricalHobbyist (talk) 21:11, 18 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Header[edit]

For simplicity in this article, Officers refers to both commissioned officers and warrant officers. Shouldn't be in the header. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AnUnnamedUser (talkcontribs) 03:32, 5 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

vertical multi-image blocks[edit]

I'm breaking these up into individual imagaes and moving some to the left side, because they shove all the graphics way out of place relative to the text they illustrate.

Enlisted Full Dress Blues[edit]

Why is there no photo or description of Enlisted Full Dress Blues?2603:7000:A903:B619:78EB:8CA4:D185:7594 (talk) 00:54, 23 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

NWU's With Command Cover's[edit]

This is more common than the 8-point and probably the most worn uniform ashore, would be nice to have an image and mention of this practice. Drahgoone (talk) 06:15, 3 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
