Content update Unify History[edit]

Unify (2013–present) In October 2013, Siemens Enterprise Communications was rebranded to Unify.

In November 2015 it was announced that IT services company Atos would purchase Unify from The Gores Group/Siemens for 340 million euro.[15] The acquisition was completed in January 2016.[16]

Unify earned two recognitions by Argon Research Globe^[1] in 2017 The first named the company “Leader” in the Argon Research Tech Spectrum for Mobile Collaboration in February 2017^[2] . The study highlighted Unify’s Circuit platform for its innovation. It spotlighted features such as the Universal Telephony Connector and desktop application that allow for easier integration with existing UC devices. In April with a second recognition Unify was named Industry Leader for Unified Communications and Collaboration^[3] . The designation recognizes Unify’s comprehensive strategies aligning with industry direction, market demand and effective performance against those strategies.

In March 2017 Unify was placed on the United States Department of Defense Approved Products List with its OpenScape Voice solution. OpenScape Voice was tested for interoperability and information assurance (IA) by the U.S. Department of Defense Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC). OpenScape Voice is a carrier-grade enterprise communication solution. It delivers the standard signaling protocol Assured Services SIP (AS-SIP) used within the U.S. Department of Defense. It is also a critical feature for the public sector, healthcare, and financial services customers. Unify completed a second interoperability and reliability testing for JITC together with T-Metrics^[4] in November 2017. The test showed the compatibility between Unify’s OpenScape Voice and T-Metrics’^[5] solutions.

A new solution OpenScape Cloud was first presented in July 2017^[6] . It introduced enterprise grade voice combined with collaboration tools available via public or private cloud, as required by the customer.

Unify received German magazine Funkschau’s Readers’ Choice Awards 2017^[7]. The premier specialist telecoms publication awarded the company first places for OpenScape Business in category “Voice platforms for SME”, OpenScape Enterprise in category “Voice platforms for large enterprise” and OpenScape Contact Center Suite in category “Contact Center Solutions”. Unify also received recognition in “Cloud Telephony” for OpenScape Cloud and in “UCC Solution” for Circuit.

Unify received second and third “Leader” recognition in the Argon Research Globe for Unified Communications and Collaboration in 2018 and in 2019 . The report examined 15 major providers in the market focused on voice, video, messaging, and collaboration. In January 2023, Atos announced it entered exclusive negotiations with Mitel for the sale of its Unified Communications & Collaboration business (Unify).[17]

Image updates to Unify logo and office building.[edit]

What I think should be changed: Existing Unify Logo is out of date, this logo is no longer valid. Also the iamge of the tower block is nolonger relevent.
Why it should be changed: the current logo is not longer current. The iamge of the office block is out of date, we nolonger reside in this building, also dispalying the olf business logo.

The logo was not uploaded with the correct non-free use license. The license which was applied states that the COI editor, CarltonLangton, is the owner of the image. This is not possible, as the company itself is the owner of the image.
Please re-upload the logo using the correct license.

Dear Spintendo, I have re-uploaded the desired 'Atos uUnify' composite image that I wish to be used to replace the old Unify logo. The updated visual entity is now named "Atos_Unify_composite_visual_entity.png" Please can you now updated the page at Unify (company) and remove the old image of the office block named Unify (company)#/media/File:UnifyMarkhamOffice.jpg as we are nolonger use this building in Canada.
