Simple question[edit]

Why didn't the Soviet Union simply veto the Resolution? No mention whatever in the article that the Soviet Union had the power to veto war against itself. 73.98.22.26 (talk) 17:47, 11 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The Soviet Union was boycotting the Security Council meetings to protest that Taiwan held China's seat at the UN, and was therefore absent. They certainly regretted it afterwards. Uglemat (talk) 18:20, 11 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Image[edit]

The image shows the Korean peninsula now, with the border as the DMZ, not the Korean peninsula in 1950 with the border as the 38th Parallel (a straight line).--Jack Upland (talk) 09:33, 22 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
