Need citation[edit]

For passage:

Major cleanup[edit]

M21[edit]

How did the rifle differ from the M21, which was also based on the M14? Were they simply different attempts to achieve the same goal with the same basic hardware? -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 20:41, 5 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Good question. I don't have a clue, but our Designated marksman and Designated marksman rifle articles both explain some of the differences between the roles and basic weapons, and how they contrast with the sniper role and weapons.
