Redirects needed

Secretary of the Treasury (United States) and Secretary of the Treasury (U.S.) need to redirect to this article.98.81.15.52 (talk) 13:47, 15 September 2010 (UTC)

Comment

An obsolete one. Are you sure Hank Paulson is now the Secretary? I thought he had been nominated by Bush, but has to go through hearings before he was confirmed. Hope this doesn't overwrite the main entry. what is the confirmation process for this position?

p.s. Paulson's political contributions: http://www.newsmeat.com/ceo_political_donations/Henry_Paulson.php old U.S. Today interview: http://www.usatoday.com/money/companies/management/2004-02-01-insana_x.htm

What's with the Blumenthal picture?195.27.20.35 (talk) 07:26, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

Who's in charge, now?

With Paulson no longer Secy of Treasury & Gehtiner yet to be confirmed, sworn-in. Who's heading the Treasury Department? GoodDay (talk) 23:24, 21 January 2009 (UTC)

Signatures

The signature of the secretary of the treasury is arguably as important as their portrait. Should that signature be part of this list? Postitman (talk) 21:37, 14 October 2013 (UTC)

Albert Gallatin

Can somebody more adept at tables fix it for Albert Gallatin? He was Secretary for both Jefferson and Gallatin, but the table does not depict that. TuckerResearch (talk) 20:53, 22 December 2013 (UTC)

Replace or add a second column for images - preliminary thoughts?

I was recently able to scan a Bureau of Engraving and Printing presentation book of engraved portraits. It contains a complete set of portraits of the Secretary of the Treasury from Hamilton through Gage (the book was reportedly presented to Gage). I have scanned the portraits at 2400dpi and prior to undertaking this massive editing/restoration, I wanted to see if there would be any objection to either replacing the existing portraits or creating a second column exclusively for the BEP engraved portraits. Thanks--Godot13 (talk) 04:01, 20 June 2014 (UTC)

Just checking in one more time before I start working up the images...--Godot13 (talk) 02:50, 26 June 2014 (UTC)

Request for feedback

As I posted before, I replaced the first 24 Treasury Secretaries’ images with a uniform set of BEP engraved portraits from a Treasury presentation book supposedly given to Lyman Gage. The overwhelming majority of the early images were very small and of below average quality (and I also thought it would be fitting for the images of Treasury Secretaries to be official BEP portraits.I have portraits for #25 – 42, but did not want to remove photographs by Mathew Brady. Any comments or feedback would be welcome.--Godot13 (talk) 01:05, 13 July 2014 (UTC)
