SI Tutul is popularly known as the man who has redefined contemporary Bangladeshi film music. He has been hailed by a renowned and most popular TV Channel(Channel I) as the 'Shurer Karigor' (who creates affectionate tune and music).
He won the International Award on 2006 as a music director for the film 'Nirontor' from International Film Festival.
Now SI Tutul is a top most busiest play back singer in Bangladesh film, the speciality of his voice is a blend and mixture of indian classical, western and opera, He has a unique voice humming which listeners can easily identify him.
SI Tutul got married with the top most model, choreographer, designer, Movie director and actress ' Tania Ahmed ' on 1999. Tania calls him 'Sweet Intelligent Tutul'
Tutul started music by himself from a very young age and also persuade music as his career. Beside music he also completed Bachelor of Arts (Hons) and Masters in Literature from Chittagong University. His basic in music is classical piano but he can play many other instruments. SI Tutul himself is a beautiful sound engineer. Most of his songs are tuned and composed by himself.
In 2005 a noted film maker' Mustafa Sarwar Faruki' offered SI Tutul a movie called 'Bachelor' which was a run away success and brought nation wide fame and acclaimed to the composer. The movie won several awards all over the world, specially the song' Keu Prem Kore' was highlighted and a smash hit in Bangladesh which was tuned, composed and sang by him. Renowned singers like Samina Chowdhury and Asif Akbar won national award for the 'Amar majhe nei ekhon ami ' which was tune and composed by him. This sweet intelligent is the only musician from band music who own the highest awards nationally and internationally. He made a band called Face to Face (F2F) which was later renamed as Dhrubotara in 2005.
SI Tutul has undertaken several sell-out concert and tour in different international destinations such as
New York, Atlanta, Boston, Washington DC, Maiami,Tampa, Los Angeles, Houston, Reno-nevada, Orlando, Dallas, Chicago, San fransisco,San jose, Denver, Milwaukee, Michigan, Connecticut, Pennsylvania etc in USA London , Manchester, Birmingham, Kent, Scotland in UK Belgium, Germany, Austria, France, Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark, Holland etc in Europe Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Perth in Australia Toronto, Calgary, Saskatuwan, Atoa, Montreal, Hamilton, Nayegra, Vancouver in Canada Delhi, Calcutta, Darjeeling, Shiliguri, Asham, Bangalore, Madras etc in India Japan. Bangkok, Malaysia, Singapore, Nepal , Dubai, Qatar, Bahrain and many more. SI Tutul has expanded his focus to newer horizons like setting up the foundation to help poor and underprivileged children and to educate them. He took various tours through out Bangladesh as an ambassador of Health ministry, Commerce ministry, Education Ministry, Communication Ministry, Human AID Bangladesh, WHO, DUDOK etc. He built a music and education school called All Saints UK international school in Uttara, Dhaka and announced initiatives to establish a tradition in classical and Bangladeshi folk music .
