Does the University of California Berkeley's marching band perform in competitive competitions?—Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.221.34.129 (talk) 01:21, 29 June 2005 (UTC)[reply]

no[edit]

The band frequently "battles" the Stanford band, and attends Davis Picnic Day every year, hosted by UC Davis, where 6-8 bands, (Berkeley, Davis, Stanford, Irvine, Humboldt, Riverside, and others) take turns playing songs, but there is never a judge or a prize. The band does not march corps style and so cannot participate in drum corps competitions, though many of its members are also members of local corps. Membership for the 2005 football season was 210. In past years the band has been smaller (~190).—Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.132.45.192 (talk) 08:49, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Layout[edit]

I am probably splitting hairs, but I changed the layout. In fact, I am not sure if the creation of a history category for it (which felt a natural thing to do for me) is appropiate, so feel free to revert if necessary. Lrd1rocha 07:15, 24 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

To Do[edit]

Discography. --Rocksanddirt 17:54, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In the info box on the right, it says the Cal Band wears epaulettes. This was true when the band got new uniforms for the 2006-2007 season but they were discontinued about halfway through that season. It's unlikely they will ever wear epaulettes again. 67.180.27.180 (talk) 03:05, 22 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
