Reverting to earlier version[edit]

Nearly the entire article had been copied from the school website, an apparent copyright violation, promotional in tone, and possible conflict of interest. Wikipedia articles are not intended as promotional vehicles, or as duplicates of an institution's website. JNW (talk) 07:17, 27 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the copyright, we received OTRS permission:

Good, but given the promotional tone of earlier versions, text taken from the website will need to be copyedited to meet encyclopedic guidelines. JNW (talk) 11:25, 3 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Vegaswikian (talk) 02:11, 6 October 2011 (UTC) We wish to re-title this entry because our policy in all written documents is to refer to the university using its name in its original language (Catalan) Urv2010comunicacio (talk) 08:37, 29 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment. If only the original Catalan language is to be used, then the English definite article ("The") should be dropped, shouldn't it? HandsomeFella (talk) 07:14, 2 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What does this mean?[edit]

I would have copy-edited this, but aside from the governmental award, which presumably circulates among the colleges ofits section of Catalonia, I have no idea what this actually means behind the jargon:

It was selected as the Southern Catalonia Campus of International Excellence (CEICS)[1] by the Ministry of Education in 2010, which consolidated the strategic aggregation of the various institutions and structures for teaching, research, knowledge transfer and the productive sector of southern Catalonia with the aim of becoming an international reference in the fields of Chemistry and Energy, Nutrition and Health, Tourism, Oenology, and Heritage and Culture.
