I have a couple of comments regarding this article.

"Little Britain" is described as being in both Gatchell and the West End in this article. As I understand it, "Little Britain" refers to the residential neighbourhood between the north side of Elm St to the McKim St area. Suggesting that this is the West End is a bit of a stretch, but acceptable. However, there's no way that anyone would consider this area to be part of Gatchell.

Also, can any knowledgeable person indicate why the Four Corners is so named? I've asked people and tried to look it up, but to no avail.69.60.237.19 (talk) 20:29, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for that; I hadn't noticed that somebody made the (utterly mystifying) change describing Little Britain as being part of Gatchell. For what it's worth, the challenge in some cases has been attempting to integrate information about some neighbourhoods into the article in a coherent way — Little Britain is one example of an area about which there's almost nothing to write except for its geographic location.
The article already talks about the Four Corners: "centred on the intersection of Regent Street, Paris Street and Long Lake Road". As far as I know, there's no deeper reasoning to the name beyond the fact that there's a four-way intersection in the middle of it. (For anybody reading this discussion who isn't familiar with the city, Regent Street crosses through the intersection on both sides, while Paris Street/Long Lake Road is a roadway that changes names at the intersection.) Ok, now what about what is usually called "Hospital area?" Riverside Dr, Wellington Heights, Hyland Ave, McLeod St and Charlotte St. Is that South End? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.60.237.19 (talk) 16:04, 4 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I sure wouldn't call it "South End", no...I suppose other people's perceptions may vary, but I wouldn't apply the name "South End" to anything north of Walford Road. Bearcat (talk) 20:17, 9 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
