I've added a dubious tag about the halting problem reference. With all due respect, I belive the author doesn't understand what the halting problem is: "solving the halting problem" means telling whether a given machine (or program) halts or not. Halting without producing any response is not a correct solution, whatever its encoding. I had forgotten to login, sorry. I'm User:82.243.84.93. --positron (talk) 20:56, 18 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Definition[edit]

The current definition has a function but its direct purpose is deliberately unknown doesn't really describe useless machines, or distinguish them from other machines with hidden aspects. Does anyone have (or can find) a better definition? --Drpixie (talk) 22:11, 10 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Appreciation over piggy bank[edit]

Replacd some text about its particualarity for a link to Rube Goldberg machine because it was fairly near its definition. Also added doubious a link to Discard Protocol at "see also" because such machine discards input, if you would like to add an informational view that way. It also could add some analisys over that theory of machines that i cant rememer.--Neurorebel (talk) 07:49, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Broken link[edit]

The href target for reference 11 http://60035pserver.com/LeaveMeAloneBoxWebsite/2013/03/what-others-have-done-2/ now points to a pornographic website. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.86.32.174 (talk) 16:48, 12 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Video or animation requested[edit]

This article would much benefit from inclusion of a video or animation of a box in action. Does anyone here have access to one? Cheers, cmɢʟeeτaʟκ 01:41, 30 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
