Proposed split[edit]

I've been wondering how to correct and improve this page for years. I just started work in my sandbox. They don't have different logos, just different colors. I know that's a tenuous non-difference but the V.League is one entity in Japan and is visioned as such. I was going to attempt to model the revision after the japanese Wiki page: https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/V.LEAGUE. But very reduced in scope. I think the bigger problem is not between men/women, but between V1, V2, and V3. Hard to justify V2 & V3 information in English Wikipedia. I'm sure I couldn't get pages for V2 or V3 teams accepted here (let alone create them with more than their name, hometown and rosters). Secondary problem is the relationship of the V.League (Japan) Page to V.Challenge_League. My goal is to overcome that problem. V.Challenge League is now V.League Division 2 -- part of the V.League. There are Challenge matches between bottom V1 teams and top V2 teams. sitenoise (talk) 21:10, 24 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Now it has V.League (Japan) page and V.Challenge League page, which is the information of V2 and V3. So I think we just redirect V.League (Japan) page to V.League Division 1 or V.League 1 for making it more specific. Kkangsonp (talk) 16:01, 9 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

In case anyone else stumbles over here ...

1) "V.League" and "V.League Division 1" are not synonymous
2) The Japanese Wiki page treats this version of "V.League" as something that started in 2018. That's because they have separate pages for "V-League" (1994-2005) and "V.Premier League" (2006-2018).

My goal is to make that succession clear in the "History" Section with cursory mention of how, for example, V.Challenge became V.League Division 2. Bullet points and move on.

The "Structure" will only deal with the current structure.

"Current Clubs" will be updated yearly.

"Previous Winners" is what it is. The main reference junkie meat of it.
