This page lists a few VAXserver models, but they are all merely rebadged MicroVAX 3xxx models. This FAQ answer is more succinct(!). I'm not sure we need a separate VAXserver article? Letdorf (talk) 11:32, 22 October 2008 (UTC).[reply]

I am aware of the fact, but I thought we needed to be "complete". Is the NetBSD documentation complete? (Not missing any models, for example). If it is complete, a redirect to MicroVAX might be more appropriate. Rilak (talk) 11:47, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hmmm... on further investigation, it seems there were VAXserver 4000, 6000 and 9000 models too.[1] But it appears[2][3][4] the difference between (Micro)VAXen and VAXservers was that the VAXserver had a flag in an EPROM flipped which restricted it to single (interactive) user, "server" VMS (or VAXELN) licenses. Would it it be more lucid to have a separate VAXserver article or mention the alternative badging in the other relevant articles? Letdorf (talk) 16:19, 22 October 2008 (UTC).[reply]
At the moment I think it is better to have a separate article for the VAXserver. If we have a section about VAXserver models at each of the articles detailing a VAX product line, would we not have to explain what the VAXserver is many times over, at eac article, thus duplicating material?
