Shachi Anyone?[edit]

Does anyone know if the Goddess Vajreshwari has ever been associated with the Goddess Shachi? One can't help noticing the red colour of her skin which is also associated with Shachi Devi, and of course, the thunderbolt is Shachi's primary weapon. Naturally, the article makes that clear, I was just wondering why. Is there a story behind how Vajreshwari came to be identified as Parvati came to be associated with Parvati, as opposed to Shachi? Is it just that most of the lesser known deities, sooner or later become identified with members of the trinity, or was there a specific reason?AaronCarson (talk) 13:18, 17 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Most local goddesses are identified with Durga or Parvati, some with Lakshmi too. But none with Shachi. I wonder are their any temples to Shachi. There are temples dedicated to Aindri or Indrani as a Matrika but not as Indra's consort Shachi. Anyway, Wikipedia is not a platform for discussing Hinduism, talk page guidelines say that things related to the article only must be discussed not a general discussion. --Redtigerxyz (talk) 13:51, 17 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
