Add to the company infobox after logo_caption image of the headquarters.

Suggested lines:

Reply 03-JUL-2018[edit]

Several different logos are seen within this picture. Are these logos all related within this company, or are they merely tenants in the same building? I'm not sure what kind of issues there would be with posting a picture carrying different logos and placing that picture here, in effect, using representations of other logos to identify this company. Does anyone else know?  spintendo  14:15, 3 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Finland, where the building is located, does have freedom of panorama for buildings per c:COM:FOP#Finland, so a photo of the building itself should be OK. As for the signage on the building, I believe it could be argued that this is a case of de minimis (c:COM:DM) or incidental inclusion since the focus of the photo is the building, not the individual signs, and it would be impossible to take a photo of the building without including the signs. If this was a close up photo of one of the signs on the building, it might be a problem. There's nothing really about this in c:COM:DM#Finland, but I think it should be OK since this kind of thing is allowed in the EU per c:COM:DM#European Union. Since the file is from Commons, asking at c:COM:VPC might help clarify things. -- Marchjuly (talk) 14:32, 3 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I see that both of those instances you mentioned are covered by WP:IUP which states:

Some images may contain trademarked logos incidentally (or purposely if the image is either freely licensed, covered under freedom of panorama, or being too simple to be copyrightable). If this is the case, please tag it with {{trademark}}.

So if the COI editor could add the trademark template to the photograph, then I will add the photograph to the article. Thank you Marchjuly for your help its much appreciated!  spintendo  15:02, 3 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
By adding {{trademark}} tag, wouldn't this affect any other rights or licenses? currently, it is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 4.0 International license, and this picture was made by me? -- Ivan.Andreev (talk) 15:46, 3 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The trademark template is supposed to be used when the content is in the public domain: "Use this template only if the trademarked material is in the public domain or is under a free license: for example, if it is ineligible for copyright status, or has been specifically released by the owner under a free-content license". W:IUP suggests its use when other logos are incidentally shown, as is the case with your photo. In this case the picture itself is CC, but the CC picture contains within it trademarked logos. The trademark template simply acknowledges that even though the picture is free, the things that the picture depicts (i.e., the logos − which are essentially pictures within the picture) may not be free. That is my interpretation of it. Others are free to chime in if this is incorrect.  spintendo  17:18, 3 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Once you've affixed the template to the picture and you're ready for it to be added to the article, kindly change the edit request template's answer parameter to read from ans=yes to ans=no; I can then add it to the article. Thank you!  spintendo  20:14, 3 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Spintendo, thank you for your help. {{trademark}} tag added, check it please for any occasion Image. -- Ivan.Andreev (talk) 08:26, 4 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Naming convention[edit]

What was the special reason why Limited was allowed for use in the article title (See WP:NCCORP) and as an abbreviation no less... I don't see Valamis Group as already being occupied. Just curious.  spintendo  11:52, 4 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Reply 04-JUL-2018[edit]

I think it's my bad, main issue is that the main product name is "Valamis", it is a software, so I've used the legal name for this page. Technically, Valamis Group will work to differentiate pages in the future. -- Ivan.Andreev (talk) 14:12, 4 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Operating income[edit]

I've checked the reference for "Operating income", and it requires improvements. It is open data, language is Finnish, turnover for 2018 was € 9,8 mln. Source -- Ivan.Andreev (talk) 14:18, 4 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

 Done

The source Fonecta is an approximate for company published information which should work with financial items. These are broadly accepted in other articles from sources published by companies. I have placed this under operating income.  spintendo  23:02, 4 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Is it possible to update the url and name according to the Naming convention (See WP:NCCORP)? E.g. Valamis or Valamis Group to make it proper way and differentiate this page from the product. -- Ivan.Andreev (talk) 16:52, 2 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Valamis Group Ltd.Valamis – The article was created with the legal status suffix of a company (such as Ltd.), without a proper reason. According to the Wikipedia:Naming conventions (companies), status suffix shouldn't be included in the article title unless there is a reason for that. It was discussed before on the talk page Talk:Valamis Group Ltd. #Naming convention. The company's legal name is Valamis Group Oy (where Oy is Ltd.), also the company has different legal names in different countries. I'm not sure what will be the best for the wiki community to use Valamis or Valamis Group, so please act according to the guidelines WP:NCCORP and WP:DISAMBIG. Add 2 new items to the History[edit]

Add to the History section 2 new lines, according to the timeline it should go after the latest sentence:

In December 2020, Valamis was acquired by Adelis Equity Partners. Adelis acquired shares from the passive shareholders and invested growth equity in the company through a private offering. [1]

In July 2021, Valamis acquired the software company The Working Manager (TWM), specializing in organizational performance and career mobility technology. [2]

@Ivan.Andreev: checkY Your request has been answered. I added this as a reference for the first line. Also, I replaced the Businesswire link with this for the second line, as it seems to be stronger source than the press release. Best, Heartmusic678 (talk) 12:36, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
