Valerie Harper was not in The Hogan Family

The programme in which Valerie Harper played was simply called "Valerie". Her character died in a car crash, and the series continued as "Valerie's Family". Shortly thereafter, "Aunt Sandy" moved into the house and became the main character. It was only then that the programme was rebranded "The Hogan Family".

Now, my question is for your veteran Wikipedians: How do I go about verifying this formally and making a change in the text that is compliant with Wikipedia guidelines?
