Added Defunct tag to website I dont know how to explain the current state of the mall. A couple of my real estate buddies are thinking that they are going to try to get the place condemned, and destoryed, so that they do not have to buy out any leases for CDS, etc, and the $89,000 construction lien judgement to Keller, and the $51,000 general judgement to Wisconsin Electric. If anyone wants to verify my "judgments", go to Wisconsin Courts Website and search under business name "Youthfutures".. or case numbers 2005CV707, 2005CL57

dubious tag[edit]

There is only one oldest mall in the country: The following claim to be the oldest malls:

Northgate Mall (Seattle, Washington 1950)
Southdale Center (Edina, Minnesota 1956)
Westminster Arcade (Providence, Rhode Island 1828)

I have reverted the removal of the claim. The dubious tag is the way to go. There is a very reliable reputable newspaper that clearly states the claim (right or wrong). : The NEH as well as many books on architecture and Malcolm Gladwell agree with Southdale.  These other "mall" claims are made for extroverted, non-enclosed mall spaces, rather than the introverted/new-international styles of the Gruen malls.  Any claim for a mall other than Southdale is specious.
