Overall content[edit]

is fine. Clearly states the usage of VSM. And yes, it is Lean manufacturing tool but it is used also in Lean Six Sigma. There are no article about Lean Six Sigma nor Future State Mapping in wikipedia. Added one more software option. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Teollika (talkcontribs) 17:12, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of "In sofware engineering" Section[edit]

I propose that this subsection is removed from the page as it does not directly relate to Value Stream Mapping. Especially since value stream mapping is primarily used in a manufacturing environment, it seems as if this section puts the emphasis on an unrelated issue — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zadafe (talkcontribs) 21:13, 18 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Definition - value chain[edit]

The article currently says : 'whereas a value chain refers to all of the activities within a company.' That is so vague. It needs to be properly defined. It says 'refers to all of the activities within a company'. All activities within a company for doing what? KorgBoy (talk) 22:43, 14 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Definition - value chain Number 2[edit]

There is no valid source for the claim that a value stream only focuses on value adding activities. To the contrary, the source cited states that it is both value added and non value added. This is just wrong... The whole sentence should just be removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.102.97.204 (talk) 10:48, 24 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
