Shouldn't this be renamed to Vanikoro? It seems the more common spelling and is used within the article as well. Daamsie (talk) 11:12, 21 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I totally agree. Can't remember how you do that, but I'm in favour of the change. —— Also, although technically this is a group of several islands, "Vanikoro" is normally treated as if it were a single island, I mean in the way it is referred to by everybody: in fact I have never heard Vanikoro islands used anywhere else than here on Wikipedia. This is I think a case of hypercorrection, as if the entry for "Australia" were renamed "Australia Islands" just because there are other islands included in it (Tasmania etc.). So my final recommendation would be to have the entry as Vanikoro, full stop. (NB: I know the island well, having spent some time there and done some research on it).
