Is Veronica on satellite? If so, is it on the Sky Astra satellite at all??[edit]

Is Veronica on satellite? If so, is it on the Sky Astra satellite at all?? I remember it was on the Astra analogue satellite for a short while back in the 1990's. Thanks in advance for anybody that knows. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.129.156.184 (talk) 10:48, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Veronica TVVeronica (TV channel) – per Wikipedia:NCBC#Channels. C0re1980 (talk) 13:31, 25 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Question - Are you sure the name isn't Veronica TV? The logo does indeed only say Veronica but the website is found at https://www.veronicatv.nl/ and the official Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/veronicatv.nl/, which also uses Veronica TV as its name. --Gonnym (talk) 23:06, 25 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support - If that is indeed its name then per WP:NCBC it should be disambiguated as proposed. --Gonnym (talk) 20:12, 26 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose per WP:NaturalDisambiguation. Their official facebook and instagram accounts use "Veronica TV", as does their official website domain name. Rreagan007 (talk) 17:23, 27 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Supplement This is the Logo of Veronica: https://m.facebook.com/veronicatv.nl/photos/a.436005637863.231682.122967022863/10155718002797864/?type=3 I don't see "TV". Watching the channel it's always called Veronica, never Veronica TV. Moreover it is called Veronica in TV Guides as well, for example: https://www.tvgids.nl/zenders/veronica-rtl8-crime+investigation. --C0re1980 (talk) 20:24, 27 July 2018 (UTC)~[reply]
  • Strong oppose per WP:COMMONNAME - The current title is exclusive to television, there is no reason to further disambiguate it more than that. --Bankster (talk) 23:57, 27 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • A comment regarding two guidelines cited. WP:COMMONNAME - based on what C0re1980 said, if it's not called "Veronica TV" on the channel, nor in local TV guides, that might be less of a WP:COMMONNAME and more of a WP:Trademarks which Veronica TV is maybe one that they use for specific proposes but not what anyone else calls them. As for WP:NaturalDisambiguation, "Veronica TV" appearing in the Facebook and Instagram does not qualify for that criteria, as that asks for reliable sources and not primary sources (not saying there aren't, just pointing that no one presented any), Also, even if this was a viable alternative title, the "TV" in the name is misleading. Stevie TV and Tots TV, are in fact, not TV channels, but TV series named as such, so using a "natural disambiguation" that does not identify the article is a bit pointless. --Gonnym (talk) 00:53, 28 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
    • Your contention that primary sources cannot be WP:Reliable sources is incorrect. In some cases, primary sources are the most reliable sources. Rreagan007 (talk) 18:35, 28 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
      • Have you read that link? It never says In some cases, primary sources are the most reliable sources, it does however, say Wikipedia articles should be based mainly on reliable secondary sources and Primary sources are often difficult to use appropriately. Although they can be both reliable and useful in certain situations, they must be used with caution in order to avoid original research. Your assertion that the official sources use "Veronica TV" is not entirely correct, as those same sources also use just "Veronica", so by using only those primary sources, you are actually making an original research claim. However, C0re1980's secondary source link, does indeed show it only being called "Veronica" in logo and in name. --Gonnym (talk) 17:25, 3 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
