[Untitled][edit]

I added some external links to this new page that were deleted by the User:XLinkBot and then User:Mean as custard. These links were to web pages on vertical (media, film, video) covering surveys of the state-of-the-art by myself and Miriam Ross, Lecturer in Film at Victoria University of Wellington. They provide significant context that is not yet in this Wikipedia entry. We will endeavor to add to the entry over time, but I feel that the current entry is misleading. Also, the link to Miriam's Vimeo essay seems to have been deleted for copyright purposes. The copyleft on it is CC-BY-SA as shown at 18:46 in the video. Another link removed was to a 2009 blog by David Bordwell, Jacques Ledoux Professor of Film Studies, Department of Communication Arts, University of Wisconsin–Madison.
