Please add that Mr. Tandy was also the architect of St. David's Episcopal church in the South Bronx on 384 E. 160th St. in 1920 which still stands. I happened to learn the history of this church, architect & community & was fortunate to find your article on Mr. Tandy. Perhaps he had an affiliation with the church whose Founder/Priest was also African American. The church was meant to serve as a place of worship for African American Pullman who use to work the railway line that like today maybe known as Melrose.
