Via Montenapoleone Picture[edit]

Why do you need to insert that picture in such a beautiful street page? It's degrading! —Preceding unsigned comment added by me at 18:08, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

‘Degrading’…you take the words out of my mouth!
It strikes me as at least as typical of the street as any of the other photos on the page. I also added those by the way (and spent time sourcing some of them from Flickr for Wikimedia) so, no, I’m not trying to keep the rag trade out of the article. I suggest that instead of trying to remove information from the article you try to improve it. It certainly needs improving: currently it’s no more than an un-sourced, un-commented, list of boutiques. Not a beautiful street page in the least. (Nor is it a beautiful street, come to that—though Via della Spiga, also covered in the article, is perfectly charming.)—Ian Spackman 21:12, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Copied from http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk%3AIan_Spackman&diff=165916269&oldid=165473181 my talk page. The picture is this one:

A homeless man and his dog in Via Montenapoleone

...I cannot follow your reasoning. If I manage to photograph some dog excrements on the street will that too be eligible for the article?? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.208.31.208 (talk) 21:11, 1 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My reasoning is that it is ‘at least as typical of the street as any of the other photos on the page’. Dog excrement would be less typical: the local authorities are rather strict about it. —Ian Spackman 22:29, 1 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I cannot talk with someone who talks about dog excrements while I'm talking about via Montenapoleone degraded by an homeless man picture! Have you ever been there? I guess not, though you love Italy; and I guess the homeless hasn't allowed the man who took the photo to take it. Do whatever you want with the page. I'm not interested anymore. Goodbye to you and your dog excrement. PS es francoise? —Preceding unsigned comment added by me at 19:49, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

Bahahah, even the homeless are well dressed in Italy. I saw one shaving using a hubcap as a mirror once. 124.190.154.40 (talk) 01:41, 15 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
