Date of opening[edit]

Date of opening was derived from accounts documents relating to the park in Devon County Records Office. Sjc 07:05, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I believe that year appears on the Park Keeper's lodge itself. I saw it when I last walked by. Stevebritgimp 15:18, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Deadlake != Victoria Park[edit]

I note that Deadlake is now a circular link via a redirect to Victoria Park. The areas were not geographically coterminous, the Deadlake extending up to and possibly beyond the site of what is now Pennycomequick roundabout, Victoria Park abbreviating considerably prior to that by a distance of a quarter to half a mile. The Deadlake also has a distinct history, being the site of a number of events of albeit local historical significance, as well as the site of a place of public executions. I will probably set up a placeholder article of Deadlake for this and populate it as and when. Sjc (talk) 10:27, 19 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
