Use of math in headings[edit]

MOS:HEAD explicitly states: For technical reasons, section headings should: ... Not contain <math> markup., and this is affecting the heading that reads " $\mathrm {D_{E}^{D}}$ Engines", which shows in the table of contents as "?'"`UNIQ--postMath-0000000F-QINU`"'? Engines". Is it really necessary to use math markup? How about D^D_E instead? After all, an earlier heading reads "D^DE tank engine". and this displays just fine in both TOC and heading. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 16:56, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
