This article was nominated for merging with 5th Battalion (Australia) on January 2009. The result of the discussion was not to merge.

Battle honours[edit]

Can anyone confirm what battle honours the VSR had? I believe that they inherited the battle honours of the 5th Battalion, AIF, in World War I and those of the 2/5th Battalion in World War II.
