Technically, the North side of the bridge is in Woodbridge Twp, albeit very close to the Perth Amboy border, slightly to the east.

Well I'll be damned. Thank you.

Eddie and the Cruisers[edit]

I thought that in the 1982 movie Eddie and the Cruisers, Eddie Wilson supposedly commits suicide by driving off of the Victory Bridge.

This is how I remember it (granted my memory is based on a 2 decade old recollection). Perhaps somebody with good knowledge about this film could research this and edit the article accordingly.

County Bridge, 1906[edit]

The National Park Service has a great history of the river crossings at Perth Amboy. See American Engineering Record NJ-120. This report includes a quality discussion (pp 6-7) of the County Bridge, which was opened to traffic in 1906. The County Bridge preceded the Victory Bridge and was the first vehicular bridge in that spot. I recommend that this Wiki article incorporate a discussion of the County Bridge. No need for its own article. Perhaps a clearer discussion of the history of the 1926 bridge and its 1906 predecessor would make the article more comprehensive and less oriented to the recent replacement of the old bridge?
