Notable?[edit]

Is Video Archives notable beyond the fact that QT worked there? If so, why? Please shout or will send to AfD. JoshuSasori (talk) 08:48, 27 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I was coming to ask the same thing. Thousands of workplaces would have had notable people come and go through its ranks, heck even my own workplace has employed a variety of now well-known actors, musicians and athletes.

To answer the question... no, I don't think it is noteworthy at all.203.221.113.60 (talk) 14:13, 1 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I was wondering just that. If 'notability' is simply that a few famous people happened to work at a workplace for a while, then wikipedia could potentially expand but millions of pages overnight. I myself used to work in a call centre with at least 5 people (that I knew personally) who now have wikipedia pages of their own. Could I propose this little market research firm get it's own page if I were to 'name drop' a few people of varying degrees of notoriety who happened to work there for periods of time? Incidentally, was this page actually ever proposed for deletion? Or the one regarding QT's father, for that matter (a page even less useful than this one) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Tarantino Robbmonster (talk) 03:53, 25 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

–––––– Notable because the notable folks involved (Tarantino, Avery, etc.) mention the location during interviews and it is a discussion point beyond the trivia of them having worked there. For informational purposes, a dedicated article does serve a function. (I.e., viewer of said interview on TV is curious about the particulars of Video Archives and will search for information). 2603:8001:9603:806C:BC24:3AA2:6A4B:EAD2 (talk) 18:16, 31 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
