He was conferred with title of Acharya after the gap of four century. nobody was awarded acharya for four centuries..--Nizil (talk) 12:32, 23 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

He was in fact born in a Khatri family of Kapoor clan. Some of the Khatris are regarded to be of Brahmin origin, and are sometimes thus termed Brahmakshatriya. He was however supported by a Jain family when he was about 10 because his father died early. His initiator Buterayji (Buddhivijayaji) was born in a Jat family. Incidentally the census of 1911 mentions that a few hundred Khatris were Jain, although they are overwhelmingly Hindu. Thus we might not be able to rule out the possibility that his birth father might have been Jain Malaiya (talk) 23:57, 13 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The short biography at the introduction of Chicago-Prashnottar clearly writes that he was Brahmakshatriya by caste. So I have added accordingly. If better source supporting more info available, please add it too. He was handed over to Jodhmal Seth of Jira is also mentioned in source.--Nizil (talk) 11:19, 15 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
