Add Co-producer[edit]

Hey. I represent Invenio Origin, we are the co-producers of this movie. We found that the page didn’t have our company name or Alankar Pandian’s name mentioned under co-producer citation. Please add that. Bmariyappa (talk) 04:27, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Bmariyappa: There is no parameter for co-producer in Wikipedia, so we cannot add it. Invenio Origin, however, is already listed under Production companies. -- Ab207 (talk) 08:04, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Can you please add Alankar Pandian's name under the list of producers after Shalini & Jack Manjunath. Bmariyappa (talk) 08:17, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Also the company name is not Invenio Films India; it is supposed to be Invenio Origin. Bmariyappa (talk) 08:19, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Bmariyappa: Okay, I've corrected the company name. However, Alankar Pandian is credited as "co-produced by", therefore they cannot be added as producer. -- Ab207 (talk) 08:46, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Ab207 Thank you.
can you please find a way to add Alankar Pandian's name somewhere, as co-producer. if need be you can take consent from Jack Manjunath, or anyone from the production company. Bmariyappa (talk) 09:32, 1 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Bmariyappa: I have added Alankar Pandian's name as co-producer at Vikrant Rona#Development per the above source. That's the best I can do. Regards -- Ab207 (talk) 12:58, 1 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Ab207 thank you, but can you change the name of the company from Invenio films to Invenio Origin Please. Bmariyappa (talk) 07:22, 3 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Box office collection & range[edit]

1) There are 8 articles from various sources - Zee Kannada, Economic Times, Vijay Karnataka, News 18, Hindustan Times, Zee Business, Times of India , India Today - which claim the collection to be around 110 to 200 crore ( all links to articles from these sources can be added in this thread if required)

2) Indian Express report claiming 86 crores is:

   a) report as updated on 10th August - more than 11 days over - why consider that?
  b) That report clearly says that the 11 day collection was 86 crores. So, why should that be considered as final figure or be used to base the range - when it is clear it is only 11 days figures and not updated since last 11 days

3) The Telegraph report saying 95 crores - report clearly says it is based on Ormax media report

a) Is Ormax reliable? b) Even if reliable, when the Ormax article clearly says that Vikrant Rona collection will be updated in next months ( indicating the figures are not final since the movie is running), why consider it as a base for final figures/range? Kataariveera (talk) 17:29, 21 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Why disregard 8 sources and depend only on one source claiming 86 crores which gives a 10 day old collection about 11 day gross and other report claiming 95 crores bases it's observations on a report which itself cautions that it is incomplete? Kataariveera (talk) 17:33, 21 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Kataariveera Ormax media is a legit company that actually does some box office research unlike some reliable sources which don't know the basic difference between gross, net and share. Ormax regularly publish reports which are indepth and insightful about the state of Indian box office.
Now the issue here is Indian express is not just any report, it directly challenges the inflated collections and tries to paint an accurate picture. Therefore, it carries more weight than other PR/news feed articles which blindly repeat the same information without fact checking.
We used a similar 10-day report for Radhe Shyam to nullify the hyped up collections by PR articles. Your concern is legitimate, however, discarding the report altogether is even more problematic. -- Ab207 (talk) 17:54, 21 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, now I see you have already added a lower estimate. Perhaps that should work for the time being. -- Ab207 (talk) 18:00, 21 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

1) Thanks for informing about Ormax but the point is Ormax report clearly says Vikrant Rona collection is not final & will be updated in next month( which means we can't use it to apply the range as of now. Maybe their figures can be used once final figures are used) 2. I have not discarded 86 crore figures by Indian express. I have specifically used it in "Reception - Box office". However, to be noted that IE pointed out this on Aug 10 and says their observation is for 11 day collection. It's more than 10 since and we have at least 8 sources claiming 100 crore. So, I have used the lowest estimate out of that.No doubt, IE report deserves a mention and I have included it. But my point is we need not use it in the range since more than 10 days over and other sources point out that the movie has at least collected 110 crores and hence using that for range. 3. If Ormax is reliable, please note that it was published as on Aug 15 & says 96 crore as the collection and says figures will be updated. This means it is highly possible that the movie has reached 100 crores.

Also just noted that both Indian Express as well as Telegraph have based their figures on Ormax while Ormax (link given above) itself has given a higher figures of 96 crores (with a caution of possible change in figure to higher number). This clearly says IE report is an old one. Kataariveera (talk) 02:58, 22 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Kataariveera Yeah, you got the point. I'll leave it to you on how these figures can be best presented. -- Ab207 (talk) 09:12, 22 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Ab207, a query Kataariveera (talk) 15:20, 23 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Ab207

Ormax media published its report in Mid Aug but the report says it considers figures till July end only and reports it to be 96 crores..

https://www.ormaxmedia.com/insights/stories/the-india-box-office-report-july-2022.html

The doubt about collection arose because of Indian Express quoting 86 crore. Indian Express quoted this report and looks like they were confused because of date of publishing of report and assumed it to be collection till mid August.

In such a case, if 96 crores is till end of July, it is in line with other report which gave 4 day weekend report between 95 to 118 crores. In that case, is it possible that the daily report by India Today might be accurate which will lead to 200 crore. So, can the base range be made from 110 to 158 - as cited by Zee( 150 has been mentioned by several source - link provided under "Box office" Section) to 200 ( as cited by India Today & Times of India)

Kataariveera (talk) 15:31, 23 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Kataariveera Yeah, it's possible. We can update the upper and lower limits time to time as per newer sources. -- Ab207 (talk) 16:20, 23 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Ab207: Agreed they are independent of each other but the article with 158.5 crores is as updated on Aug 9th and the article says its 11 day collection. 5 sources since have quoted the movie to have crossed 200 crores Kataariveera (talk) 14:39, 16 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Kataariveera Possible but it's better if you can find any source that gives a break up of 200 crore like the 158 crore to make sure we are correct on this one. -- Ab207 (talk) 16:26, 16 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ok fine Kataariveera (talk) 01:26, 17 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Ab207: - Entire "box office" (Under "Reception") section has been vandalised. So, I removed the remaining one line and removed " box office " sub category. Please revert it to its original form as it stood before. Kataariveera (talk) 15:26, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
