Fair use rationale for Image:V&R.png[edit]

Image:V&R.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

List Shows[edit]

http://www.viktor-rolf.com/_en/_ww/index.htm Here at their site, click on ARCHIVE in the top line, then 'collections'. It would be nice to have the show titles / features of show listed

Other topics...[edit]

...could be 1. conceptual themes 2. unusual shows / staging etc. e--78.86.146.148 (talk) 00:06, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

taken out info that's too local[edit]

This next paragraph was too local and "newsy" for the English = international version of Wikipedia, IMHO. Especially the reference to "film of choice" is weird, as it refers to a recurring part of this television show that most readers here will have never heard of. Also, I think this bit of info is too "small" in relation to their international career and status. Joris Landman (talk) 01:12, 1 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

On July 26, 2009, Viktor and Rolf were both guests on the Dutch talk show Zomergasten (Summer Guests) on the VPRO. For three hours they were interviewed live by Margriet van der Linden.

They talked about their childhood, their wish to excel, the former and current fashion world; and the way Dutch media still portray homosexuals in stereotypes. Fragments of choice were, among others, Neues vom Kleidermarkt with Antonia Hilke; De vierde man (Paul Verhoeven, 1983); Romy Schneider in Ludwig (Luchino Visconti, 1972); Nicole Kidman and Julianne Moore in The Hours (Stephen Daldry, 2002); a young Yves Saint Laurent in the documentary In and Out of Fashion by William Klein; and a fragment from MTV Made. Their 'film of choice' was James Ivory’s Maurice (1987). —Preceding unsigned comment added by Joris Landman (talkcontribs) 01:12, 1 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

COI[edit]

I'm considering returning this to the useful version that was in place before User:Viktor&Rolf decided to make it into a public relations piece. Any comments? Accounting4Taste:talk 17:10, 29 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've notified the user, another venue might be Wikipedia:COIN - AKeen (talk) 15:51, 30 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I thought I'd try to achieve consensus here before moving to WP:COIN. It seems likely that User:Viktor&Rolf will soon be blocked as a username violation of the conflict of interest policy but I note there are other editors who have worked on this piece who might be interested. Thanks for your comment and your trouble; let's both keep an eye on this. Accounting4Taste:talk 19:26, 30 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Re this coi thing - anyone mind removing those ugly lists - they're usually found in flyers about artists in exhibition venues, not wiki. If it's okay, I will do it, but as a relative noob, I don't know if they will just be replaced by coi-istes. Manytexts (talk) 02:10, 13 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Serious NPOV deficiencies[edit]

This article reads like it was written by a publicist. It needs an inordinate amount of work to even approach something that could be construed as NPOV. I will try my hand at improving it, but I think a thorough rewrite will require the efforts of multiple editors. Nonstopdrivel (talk) 04:51, 18 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
