Comment on lede[edit]

"purportedly" doesn't seem to convey the proper sense, since it leaves the possibility that the claim is not well-founded Tedickey (talk) 16:51, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, the original conveyed an intent; the altered version seems to imply the opposite, though implying this either way is not the purpose of the sentence. From a reader's standpoint, it certainly seems to convey a non-neutral point of view. The edit to the majormodes section also seems to be in error, as the section header was in reference to the functionality, and not some other group of modes. However, the Emacs article has all uses written as 'major modes', so this may be acceptable if all instances are thus named. 142.177.178.197 (talk) 03:02, 6 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Comment on Learning to use vile[edit]

Actually none of the vi-clones provide the original vi documentation, but they provide some documentation with similar scope. Tedickey (talk) 16:51, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Problem with Linux-Gazette links[edit]

LG's not working at the moment, though google's cache is recent. Here is an alternate location, in case LG has persistent problems Tedickey (talk) 09:56, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
