Primary sources and notability[edit]

I've replaced the notability and primary sources tag, which were removed by another editor recently. The addition of obituaries for the founder do not help much: the article is contains 5/9 primary sources. Anyone in the photography community knows that this is a hugely important place. On the other hand, anyone in the Wikipedia community knows that NCORP requires very good references and that primary sources aren't those, and that notability is not inherited. It's strange that there is not good coverage in the usual places. ThatMontrealIP (talk) 14:01, 16 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi--I'm new to editing. I know I can't edit my own page but I am curious if I can provide the references here that you seek to show notability and better sources. Visual Studies Workshop (talk) 12:05, 4 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Visual Studies Workshop Absolutely, that would be very helpful. You can post them below. One other thing is that your user name is not acceptable: we do not allow generic organizational user names. You can read about how to change it here. ThatMontrealIP (talk) 12:18, 4 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Great. Thanks. I changed my username, since I had not made any edits with the other one. Thanks for your help. NaresInlet (talk) 12:33, 4 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Excellent, thank you for following our policies. As you suggested, since you have a WP:COI, the best way to contribute to the article is to make suggestions here. Mostly it would be in the form of a statement you think should be included, with a supporting reference. Feel free to provided them. You might look at WP:RS to see the kinds of references we are looking for.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 14:01, 4 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Re:primary sources[edit]

I went ahead and replaced every primary source! I am going to remove that warning from the page and am leaving this message here for record. Media installation (talk) 22:15, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Secondary Source Tag Removed[edit]

I removed the tag because the issue concerning reliable secondary sources has been addressed. C.M.Wilkes (talk) 18:22, 6 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
