VW suppresses research on security flaws

I have again edited the last paragraph in the introduction to make it less opinionated. While it is true that VW spent two years trying to keep research about its security flaws from the public, I do not think it is fair to say VW is "known for trying to hide security flaws" in its cars. VW is "known for" making cars, not hiding defects in them. However, should that sentence even be there? Does its current place give it undue weight? Iain (talk) 18:25, 15 September 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for the rewrite. I've moved it to the History section for now. - BilCat (talk) 04:26, 18 September 2015 (UTC)
Yes, I think that's much better overall. In my opinion, the original paragraph was put there as part of a personal campaign against VW, which is not appropriate. Iain (talk) 19:02, 19 September 2015 (UTC)
