Confusing abbreviation. There are car models Volkswagen Passat (B6) and Volkswagen Passat (B7); there is no one model called Volkswagen Passat (B6/B7). Anthony Appleyard (talk) 05:01, 14 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
- There are no car named Volkswagen Passat (B6) and Volkswagen Passat (B7). Car name is Volkswagen Passat, (B6) and (B7) are car body indexes. This page says about two different car bodies of the same car (despite that B7 is deep facelift of B6, not new car), but the title of the page shows only one of them, it's absolutely wrong. So, the page name «Volkswagen Passat (B6/B7)» provides a better vision of the content of the page, while the very best decision is separate page for B7. 2.95.251.219 (talk) 17:28, 14 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I does not sound as though the B7 is important enough to deserve its own freestanding article. But notice that a redirect already exists. If you open up the title Volkswagen Passat (B7), you are redirected to Volkswagen Passat (B6)#2010 facelift (Passat B7). This ought to satisfy the readers who search Wikipedia for information on the B7. While we are researching this, we should try to decide the fate of the other redirect at Volkswagen Passat B7 which currently takes you to Volkswagen Passat NMS. It is unusual for Volkswagen Passat (B7) and Volkswagen Passat B7 to go to different targets. EdJohnston (talk) 19:12, 15 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
