Copyright violation[edit]

Hi Everyone. It saddens me to say I uploaded a copyright violation. The violation is the image for "Canadian Voyageur dollar" in this article.

I did not find license info on the Canadian Mint (CA Mint) site. I assumed the image was public domain or available under fair use. I wrote to the CA Mint to clarify. The CA Mint responded with their license terms at CA Mint Intellectual Property. It looks CA Mint will license to Wikipedia under Educational Use or General Use, but it requires an application and $350 fee.

I did not upload images for other Canadian coins. I only uploaded the Canadian Voyageur dollar.

I do not know how to delete the image from Wikipedia's storage.

My apologies for the transgression.
