2017 Revival[edit]

Did the 2017 event (or later ones) happen? It's three years laters now and there is no new information. The WPA doesn't list a 2017 winner on their site.Tvx1 16:34, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No; I can find no evidence that actually happened. That said, there is a planned 2022 edition scheduled for November in Puerto Rico (being held in conjunction with the Cue Sports International Predator Pro Billiards Series Puerto Rico Open 10-ball tournament). See here for the dates. oknazevad (talk) 18:29, 29 March 2022‎
And you claim that this is a consensus per Wiki standards? I think you might very soon be answering questions on either of two noticeboards. --JP7i1-u (talk) 09:13, 5 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You have anything constructive to add, or are you just going to keep blanket reverting any attempt to improve the article? Pretty obvious you're a sock, too. oknazevad (talk) 09:51, 5 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Oknazevad is right. Also COVID postponed lots of things. --StellarNerd (talk) 18:44, 5 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It wasn't even COVID, as the last announced version that never happened was supposed to be in 2017, three years before the pandemic. I'm just speculating here, but it may be a case where the WPA pulled sanctioning after the announcement because the main sponsor (the Yalin billiard table company out of China, a place where eight-ball is pretty popular) seems to have suspended operations not long after. Either way, the redundant and unsourced material can't stay, because it's unsourced. oknazevad (talk) 20:44, 5 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
