Viewpoint of the series[edit]

I would like to know whether there has been other "Wagner" TV-series. This series or the other Wagner semi-documentary showed clearly how Wagner speculated in peoples sexual inhibitions showing half naked Rhein-daughters waving transparent dresses, and that Wagners royal protector very much liked this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Donald j axel (talkcontribs) 00:39, 5 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not a miniseries, according to Tony Palmer[edit]

The July 2011 Limelight article "Palmer talks Wagner", about the release of the 3-DVD set, is in the form of Q&A with Tony Palmer:

  • Q. So your 1982 film Wagner is finally being released in its full form on DVD ...
  • A. Three DVDs - 7 hours and 46 minutes. It is now exactly as it was originally filmed, as one film, not a miniseries. I'm sick and tired of hearing it described as a miniseries.

So, given that, maybe we need to change the title to Wagner (film). It's a little vexed, though, because 99% of people who've ever seen it up till now have seen a miniseries, not a film. -- Jack of Oz [your turn] 12:23, 18 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've moved it, and reworded the text to support this title. -- Jack of Oz [your turn] 20:51, 4 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Funny. in my set of VHS, the only narrator I ever hear is john Gieldgud, (and he is credit as such); not "Andrew Cruickshank"? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.103.170.224 (talk) 19:17, 30 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Also, its true the Olivier, Richardson and Gieldgud only appear in the same visual frame in this film but they DO appear in the same first-temporal scene of Olivier's Richard III, that is in the same acting scene. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.103.170.224 (talk) 19:21, 30 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
