It seems that people are making up a lot of the article. --The Half Gauntlet 08:19, 11 January 2007 {UTC}

I think the article should mention the recent Wah Ching-involved shooting in Arcadia, California. This happened about a month ago at the Dave & Busters at Westfield Santa Anita Shopping Mall; I'm perhaps not the most reliable source, but I've heard that it involved a Wah Ching member and an Asian Boyz member, both of whom were trying to stake their claim in this particular mall. Also of note is that this mall is a current battleground between Wah Ching and Asian Boyz. Basically at the end, an innocent bystander was shot and killed whereas the gang member survived. Things get particularly nasty on Thursday nights at this mall, which I suppose are "special" days where they meet in their little rice rocket souped up Honda types and battle it out.

This article indicates that there is a Wah Ching presence in New York City. There is no, nor has there ever been any evidence to suggest any Wah Ching presence in New York City whatsoever. New York City has its own asian gangs which are for the most part distinct and unconnected to their West Coast counterparts including the Wah Ching. I suggest that the parts of this article suggesting otherwise be eliminated.--Glen Elgin (talk) 11:30, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

SIMPLIFIED[edit]

DOES ANYONE WANT TO ADD THE SIMPLIFIED CHARACTERS OF HUA QING

Fairly Important Facts[edit]

There is a general lack of knowledge about the fact that some Wah Ching soldiers affiliate with the red rag. This is somewhat minor, but I thought this fact shouldn't be overlooked. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lildubc (talkcontribs) 01:35, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Poorly written, absolutely NO NPOV sources[edit]

We need to get a concerted effort underway to rewrite this article. As it stands, the sole reference cited is questionable at best, and the body contains a LOT of POV statements. Let me see what I can find... Edit Centric (talk) 19:53, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Should it be deleted? There is already another Wah Ching article more reliable than this one. Oath1111sd823 (talk) 02:41, 23 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Are you referring to the FriscoSide Wah Ching article? I propose a merge of that article into this one. Any objections? -- OlEnglish (Talk) 20:12, 15 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I performed the merge. Apparently someone who doesn't know (or care) about preserving Wikipedia's content just redirected it without bothering to do a simple merge. -- œ 19:06, 27 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Membership[edit]

According to reliable a source from 1994 Wah Ching had about 700 members at that time. Today I´ve heard that they are around 3,000 - 4,000 members but I can´t find the source. I am however very sure that they dont have 100,000 + members so I´ll remove that part until I or somebody else can find a good source. Just so you know why. History before 1960s?[edit]

Some Chinese sources suggest the gang started in early 20th century, and has relation to the Ching Gang. It could be just an urban legend, I don't know. I can't find a reliable source on those claims. If anyone has a good source about this I suggest adding it. Yel D'ohan (talk) 04:33, 18 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
