Why has the term: "Liloise Flanders" been invented?[edit]

...to what ends?, for there seems no historical refs to "Liloise Flanders" on the net.

And why the blend of French(?): "Liloise" with English: "Flanders" to mismake: "Liloise Flanders"?, something like: Lilish Flanders would be it done rightwisely in English.

Not for the first time, seems an befuddled offshoot stemming from historical Francophone imperialism in those abodes. The Francophones, over time, have made up so many histories, names and suchlike for the aforesaid abodes, the imperialists themselves lose tract of it all. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:C7D:21B:D600:226:8FF:FEDC:FD74 (talk) 22:07, 11 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Quite right. All reputable English sources use "Walloon Flanders", so by Wikipedia:Article titles#Use commonly recognizable names we should have this there, and not under some bastard neologism. A search of Google Books on "Walloon Flanders" gives numerous hits in standard English histories; a search for "Lilloise Flanders" gives one 2015 book by a Dutchman, in all likelihood misled by this very page into thinking this term existed in English.--Andreas Philopater (talk) 13:01, 10 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
