Leonard Maltin's Idea?[edit]

Is there any reference we can cite for this? Thanks, Jeff schiller 17:55, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Done :) The interview I've referenced might be a goldmine for other material, I just don't have the time now to sift through it. Chris Gray 23:54, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Separate pages?[edit]

The Looney Tunes Golden Collection is split into pages for each volume released in the series. Should this page do the same? It's gotten quite lengthy, and is set to get longer with the recent confirmation of the continuance of the series. —scarecroe 21:32, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, the page is huge, I'll help move some of them if it doesn't get done before it is decided. --blm07 07:29, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Should the articles be like this: Walt Disney Treasures: Wave One ? --blm07 08:04, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, "Wave xxx" seems to have been the official phrasing used in all the press materials, so that's probably best. —scarecroe 15:26, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I've made the move to Category:Walt Disney Treasures per WP:SIZE and the discussion here. —scarecroe 16:04, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wave 7[edit]

Here is the news about Wave 7. --blm07 07:30, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

And Cartoon Brew confirms that this wave has been released; in fact, it was released two days ago, on December 11, 2007. — Cinemaniac (talk) 01:27, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've added the basic titles for the Disneyland set, along with a reference that has a review for the set. --blm07 03:26, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Region 1 & Region 2[edit]

Surely it's worth mentioning that only four of these collections are available in Region 2, and there have been no new releases since mid-2005. I'm afraid I don't know the Region 4 situation, but in Europe, Wave One consisted of Silly Symphonies and Mickey Mouse in Living Colour, whilst Wave Two was the second volume of Mickey Mouse in Living Colour and The Chronological Donald: Volume One

Region 4 is identical to region 2 - four releases. Quadparty 12:15, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
In México, (Region 4) is identical to region 2 -, same four releases. ViccoLizcano (unsigned and lazy).

Walt Disney Treasures: Region 1, Wave Three[edit]

I recently got TWO of these NEW DVD Disney sets: "On the Front Lines" and "Tomorrow Land". Both were wonderfully to re-experience them again with the "Man in Space" project and explaining Disney's many contributions to the USA war effort. I can heartily recommend these DVD sets for any Disney fan or 50's TV fan. Seeing the few Disney coming movie attractions teasers at the end of the vintage ABC network TV show could full of nostanglia for some. Due to this overwhelming fascinating show content and high Disney studio production values of these DVD sets, many look into getting several other Disney Treasure sets on other memorable Disney subjects of days gone by. DVD cover gallery[edit]

I made a temple of the realese history with pic of every set I thought i would be better. —Preceding unsigned comment added by DoctorHver (talkcontribs) 20:26, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's a nice idea and I like the way it looks, but I think some folks on Wikipedia will have a problem with that format. I don't know where it might be, but I have a feeling there's probably a policy about it somewhere. That said, I think the previous list linking out to the separate articles would probably work better here. —scarecroe (talk) 20:50, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Runaway Brain[edit]

The information about "The Runaway Brain" cartoon being released internationally only in Brazil, Mexico and Japan should be revised. I have the Finnish release of "Mickey Mouse in Living Color Volume Two" and it does include the cartoon. Typically the Finnish releases doesn't include anything that isn't included in the other European releases, so I assume that the cartoon is included in the other European releases too.
